TYPES OF SADDLES

Cowhorse

Our cowhorse saddles are our sought after by amateur and professional riders alike. Although we have several ways of building our cowhorse saddles, the goal remains the same; keep the rider secure and in the pocket.

Standard Specs: 9"x13" pommel - 3" cantle.

Additional Specs: 8.5" pommel. 2" or 2.5" cantle.

Cutting

Our cutting saddles are by far our favorite to build. The pocket is designed to allow the rider freedom of movement while keeping you safely balanced through explosive maneuvers. We've collaborated with amateurs and professionals like NCHA Hall of Fame trainer Jesse Lennox to design the perfect cutting saddle for any level of competitor.

Standard Specs: 9"x13" pommel - 3" cantle.

Additional Specs: 7.5", 8", or 8.5" pommel. 2" or 2.5" cantle.

Light Weight

We offer riders the option to make any tree of choice into a Light Weight version. Riders have the choice of customizing their saddle with any one of our standard fiberglass wrapped wooden trees. We then help with design elements to make the saddle as light as requested. Our Light Weight line averages 28-32 pounds depending on the client's options.

Mule

Mules are incredibly special, and some require special trees. A mule tends to be more straight and narrow than our typical stock horses. This can create fit problems when trying to purchase a saddle built on a tree meant for a stock horse. We offer 2 different mule bars, and we are able to build any type of tree and saddle after choosing the bar and flare needed for the mule.

Ranch Cutter

Many riders look for a saddle that can serve many purposes. Our ranch cutters have been used by cutters, sorters, barrel racers, and cowhorse competitors. The goal we keep in mind when designing our Ranch Cutter trees is two-fold; keep the tree secure, keep the rider secure. We reinforced the horn with #10 rivets making the Ranch Cutter capable of roping 800-900 pounds.

Standard Specs: 9"x13" pommel - 3" cantle.

Additional Specs: 7.5", 8", or 8.5" pommel. 2" or 2.5" cantle.

Ranch Rider

Our Ranch Rider is the perfect solution to finding a saddle to suit your needs in the show pen. This saddle was specifically designed to support the rider in a nice, easy pocket, and give the rider the ability to easily post an extended trot or jump if needed in a ranch trail class. We chose a reinforced post horn that offers a secure base to dally and drag. Like our other saddles, this tree has the capability of handling 800-900 pounds.

Standard Specs: 8"x13" pommel - 3" cantle.

Reining

Our Reining saddle offers a great pocket without the cumbersome height of a tall pommel. The saddle has been specifically designed to support the rider and provide the total freedom of movement needed to train and ride a reining horse, completed with our signature close contact skirt cutout.

Standard Specs: 8"x13" pommel - 3" cantle.

Additional Specs: 8.5" or 9" pommel. 2" or 2.5" cantle.

Working Cowhorse

Do it all in the Working Cowhorse! Take a cow down the fence in the showpen, and doctor large cattle at home. This saddle is perfectly capable of pasture roping, steer stopping, and breakaway roping. Our Working Cowhorse is  built with a stout post horn, and our signature close contact tree. Customers can choose between

Versatility

Our Versatility saddle has been specifically designed to support the rider  with a close contact feel and provide total freedom of movement. Our versatility riders use their saddles for barrel racing, mounted shooting, ranch riding, ranch cutting, roping, sorting, trail riding, and cowboy racing. The versatility offers a post horn capable of holding 800 to 900 pounds, and is completed with our signature close contact skirt cutout.

Standard Specs: 8"x13" pommel - 4" cantle.

Youth

Kids and horses alike benefit from using high quality tack. Customers may choose from any one of our saddles. The saddles are still hand crafted using the same materials and care.

Wade

We've designed our Wade ropers with function in mind. Many of our wade customers need one saddle to perform multiple jobs. Our wades our built to hold large cattle, yet have been designed to provide the rider with a close contact feel so they get the most communication with their horse. We provide our clients with the option to use any bar and fork combination they would like.
